1. Payment Types & Course Pricing

Depending on the selected program or course, payment is structured as follows:

• Direct Full Payment: Select courses require full payment of the total course fee at the time of registration. The exact price will be clearly displayed on the payment page prior to checkout.

• Registration Fee & Deposit (€30): For degree programs (Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD), Microcredentials, Digital Badges, and select modular courses, a €30 payment is required at the time of application.

2. Deposit & Fee Policy

• Non-Refundable Status: The €30 registration fee is strictly non-refundable under standard circumstances (including student withdrawal, cancellation, or failure to attend), except where the Right of Withdrawal & Refund Policy applies (as detailed in Section 3).

• Tuition Credit / Down Payment: For programs with a remaining tuition balance, the €30 registration fee acts as a down payment and will be fully deducted from your total tuition balance upon successful enrollment.

• Standalone €30 Courses: For courses priced at exactly €30, this payment fulfills the total course fee in full, and no further charges will apply.

3. Right of Withdrawal & Refund Policy

In accordance with EU consumer protection regulations governing online purchases, you have the right to request a full refund within 14 calendar days from the date of purchase/payment, subject strictly to the following conditions:

• Access Not Granted: You have not yet been granted access to the educational platform, learning portal, or digital course materials.

• Course Not Started: The course or program session has not yet officially commenced.

Important Notice: If you access, log into, or otherwise begin the online course materials or platform within the 14-day statutory period, you explicitly acknowledge and consent to lose your right of withdrawal and refund. Once platform access has been provisioned or course activities have started, payments become strictly non-refundable.

To request a refund under these conditions, please send a clear email request to contact@isass.eu before the 14-day period expires and before accessing the platform.

4. Transaction & Bank Fees

Any online payment commissions, platform transaction fees, bank charges, or currency conversion charges incurred during checkout will be calculated and added to the applicant’s total or remaining tuition balance.

• Academic & Professional Data: Selected course/program (Digital Badges, Microcredentials, Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD), academic background, and language preferences.

• Technical & Geographic Data: IP address, geographic location (used to apply regional pricing and currency settings), and website usage data.

• Transaction Data: Proof of registration fee payment, invoice details, and transaction references (note: we do not store full credit card details on our servers; payments are processed securely by third-party payment gateways).

3. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data under the following GDPR legal bases:

• Contract Performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): To process your registration, manage your student enrollment, deliver educational courses, issue digital badges/degrees, and handle tuition payments.

• Legitimate Interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): To follow up with prospective students who started but did not complete the registration process, improve our website performance, and maintain platform security.

• Legal Obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): To comply with national educational regulations, tax and accounting obligations, and audit requirements.

• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): For sending promotional newsletters, marketing communications, or non-essential website cookies (which you may withdraw at any time).

4. Data Sharing and Third-Party Processors

We do not sell your personal data. We only share necessary data with trusted third-party service providers who act as Data Processors under strict confidentiality agreements:

• Payment Gateways & Financial Institutions: To process registration fees and tuition payments securely.

• Educational & Badge Platforms: To issue and verify your digital badges, microcredentials, or academic credits.

• Website Hosting & CRM Tools: To store form submissions, manage student communications, and handle transactional emails.

• Regulatory & Accreditation Authorities: Where required by law to validate issued degrees or academic qualifications.

5. International Data Transfers

If any of our service providers or servers are located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or adequacy decisions, to guarantee an equivalent level of protection for your data.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected or to comply with statutory legal requirements:

• Prospective Student / Unfinished Application Data: Retained for 12 months to assist with enrollment inquiries, after which it is permanently deleted or anonymized.

• Enrolled Student Records & Academic Credentials: Retained permanently (as required by educational regulations) to allow lifetime verification of your degrees, badges, and transcripts.

• Financial & Billing Data: Retained for 6 years following the end of the fiscal year, in compliance with statutory commercial and tax record-keeping requirements under Spanish law (Art. 30, Código de Comercio).

7. Your Rights under GDPR

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

• Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.

• Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”): Request deletion of your data, subject to our legal retention obligations.

• Right to Restrict or Object: Object to processing based on legitimate interests or request processing restrictions.

• Right to Data Portability: Receive your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format.
