By the end of this course, students will be able to explain core cybersecurity concepts and the current threat landscape, recognize social‑engineering techniques and other human‑based risks, and apply practical measures for data protection, strong password management, and multi‑factor authentication. They will implement safe browsing and device‑security practices, identify common incidents and carry out an initial response, and apply key digital‑compliance frameworks and GDPR requirements in organizational contexts. Students will also analyze the ethical and cultural dimensions of cybersecurity, assess emerging threats such as AI‑driven attacks and deepfakes, outline basic crisis‑communication and recovery procedures, and demonstrate these competencies in a capstone compliance simulation for a realistic organizational scenario.
