Organizations must build global resilience by bringing in professionals from both a defensive security and offensive security perspective into roles such as ethical hackers, or penetration testers, who can help proactively uncover unknown threats and address them before cybercriminals do.
The Cisco Ethical Hacker course, designed by Cisco, aims to provide a solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, reviewing and updating the fundamentals of cybersecurity from an offensive security perspective, while developing the skills and competencies required in cybersecurity environments, and associated with the professional roles of ethical hacker or vulnerability tester.
For the best use of the course, it is advisable to have the skills equivalent to having completed the Cisco Certified Support Technician – Cybersecurity course (available in this same program) and notions of programming.

Objectives
This course prepares participants in the art of delineating the scope and scope of potential security weaknesses, as well as in designing and conducting vulnerability testing and assessments, and reporting the results by recommending mitigation strategies.
Throughout the course, through the use of a gamified narrative with hands-on labs inspired by real-world scenarios, essential professional readiness skills are developed, and a solid foundation in offensive security is laid.
Once the course has been passed, the attendee will have acquired the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the following objectives:
- Describe the different types of ethical hacking and penetration testing methodologies and frameworks.
- Know and explain how ethical hacking tools work.
- Know tools and methodologies to obtain information about an objective.
- Create documents for penetration testing.
- Use tools to scan and discover vulnerabilities.
- Develop and execute penetration tests on systems, networks, and applications.
- Exploit and exploit vulnerabilities in a range of targets that simulate real-world scenarios.
- Create reports of penetration test results and recommend mitigation or remediation actions.
- Classify penetration tools according to the use case.
