Celebrating Modern-Day Heroes: 6th BCAS/ISASS Graduation on Bonifacio Day

Celebrating Modern-Day Heroes

Every November 30, the Philippines celebrates Andres Bonifacio Day, honoring the revolutionary hero who led the fight for freedom against Spanish colonization. This year, the day carries even greater meaning for our graduates as we mark the 6th BCAS/ISASS Graduation Ceremony—a tribute to the modern-day heroes who are breaking barriers and fighting their own battles for success.

For our students, this milestone mirrors Bonifacio’s revolutionary spirit. Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) embody the grit and sacrifice of today’s trailblazers, using the knowledge and skills gained through their diplomas as tools to fight poverty and secure better futures for their families. Their journey isn’t just personal—it contributes to the lifeblood of the Philippine economy, as their remittances keep dreams alive back home.

This year’s theme, “Breaking Barriers,” celebrates the relentless effort of our students to overcome obstacles, prove their worth on global stages, and earn their seats at the table.

A Graduation with a View

For the first time, the graduation ceremony took place on the breathtaking 25th Floor of Torre Glòries, offering one of the most iconic views of Barcelona. It was the perfect setting to honor the perseverance and dedication of our graduates, who wore their togas with well-earned pride.

A Journey of Sacrifice and Triumph

Behind every diploma awarded that day is a story of resilience. Many of our students juggled full-time jobs, lived far from family, and managed their studies with tight schedules and limited resources. Their journey was not easy—filled with sleepless nights, sacrificed weekends, and hard-earned tuition fees—but their success proves their unwavering commitment to their dreams.

This year, we proudly celebrate the graduates of the following programs:

Inspiring Words for the Future

The ceremony was made even more special by a lineup of heartfelt speeches. Guest speaker Ms. Maria Carmela Zabal, founder of WEMatter, shared an uplifting message about perseverance and the importance of community. Our founder, Dr. Elizabeth Soliday-Naui, delivered an emotional address, reflecting on the humble beginnings of BCAS and ISASS, now thriving in their 8th year.

Her words reminded everyone of the value of self-investment, dreaming big, and striving to improve. Alumni Bailon de Guzman, Nemel Reyes, and Noemi Katuin shared their inspiring journeys post-graduation, proving this is just the beginning for our new graduates.

A Tribute to Modern Heroes

As Bonifacio fought for independence, our graduates fought for a brighter future—not just for themselves, their loved ones, and the nation. Their triumphs remind us that revolutions take many forms, and the battle for self-improvement is one of the most meaningful.

To all the graduates, congratulations! May your journey forward be filled with courage, success, and the same revolutionary spirit that led you to this proud moment. Your story is just beginning.
